SIN CITY – Frank Miller, legendary comic book writer/artist responsible for redefining Batman and Daredevil as well as creating his own tremendously popular noir send up, Sin City, has begun to narrate his own life, making it seem more dramatic and gritty than it really is.
Upon being questioned by a reporter about his self narration, Miller stared into the middle distance and began to mutter to himself “It wasn’t the question so much as the way she said it. Not just with her full lips, the kind you see in movies, but with her body language. Her breathy tones sang a song for me and her question was all but forgotten but I had a few of my own. Who sent her and should I thank them or get their severance pay in order? All in all, just another night in Basin City…” Miller then produced a 9mm pistol and a katana blade and fled the interview on a pair of rollerblades.
Miller, who unwittingly created a perpetual motion device after his film adaptation of The Spirit caused the corpse of Will Eisner to repeatedly turn in it’s grave, was found and hospitalized a short time later after he had wandered into a group of street gang members and reportedly said aloud “Looks like this is my lucky night. Young, dumb, and totally unaware of what’s about to happen to them.”
In related news, Fred Hembeck was also hospitalized after using a hunting knife to carve swirls into his knees and elbows and Todd McFarlane was treated and released for a herniated hand after attempting to lift a pencil.
